Making an entire research ecosystem legible.
Institut Pasteur Research is not a brochure website. It is a public directory, discovery layer and publishing system for a large scientific institution, designed to reveal the relationships between its people, structures and activity.
The organisational challenge
Teams belong to departments and centres; members carry roles across structures; platforms expose services and equipment; publications, projects, courses, calls and jobs all connect back to the people behind them. The product had to preserve that depth while giving very different audiences a clear way in.
Product delivered
- A structured research graph connecting teams, members, departments, centres, programmes and platforms
- Public directories for expertise, people, equipment, software, tools and opportunities
- Advanced search, filters, exports, maps and contextual related-content paths
- Role-aware publishing for thousands of members and editors across more than 30,000 connected posts
- Custom WordPress engineering, hosting, monitoring, training, help desk and continuous development
A long-lived institutional product
The platform has been built and operated as an evolving research service since 2014. New structures and workflows can be added without breaking the identity of existing content, while editorial teams retain a system designed around their real responsibilities.
